When words aren’t enough… may you find comfort here.
There are seasons in life when words don’t come easily.
When the world continues to move around us, yet our own feels as though it has quietly stopped.
Grief is one of those seasons.
It doesn’t arrive with a roadmap.
It doesn’t follow a timeline.
It doesn’t ask whether today is a good day or a difficult one.
It simply arrives… because love was there first.
Over the years, I’ve come to realise that grief isn’t something we “get over.”
We learn to live alongside it.
Some days it sits quietly in the background.
Other days it catches us by surprise—a song on the radio, a familiar perfume, a favourite meal, or a photograph tucked away in a drawer.
In an instant, we’re transported back to a moment that still lives so vividly in our hearts.
And that’s okay.
Grief isn’t a sign that we’re broken.
It’s a reflection of how deeply we have loved.
The greater the love, the deeper the loss can feel.
Yet within that sadness is something incredibly beautiful.
Love doesn’t end when a life does.
It changes.
It becomes the stories we continue to tell.
The traditions we keep alive.
The lessons we carry forward.
The kindness we offer because someone once showed it to us.
Our loved ones leave fingerprints on our hearts, and every act of love we share becomes part of their legacy.
If you’re reading this while carrying the weight of someone you miss, I want you to know this…
You don’t have to rush your healing.
You don’t have to hide your tears.
You don’t have to pretend you’re okay when you’re not.
There is no right way to grieve.
There is only your way.
Be gentle with yourself.
Take the walk.
Drink the tea.
Light the candle.
Look at the photographs.
Speak their name.
Smile when a memory makes you laugh.
Cry when your heart needs to.
None of these things mean you’re moving backwards.
They simply mean your love is still alive.
Here at Violet Moon, I believe we all need a place where it’s safe to feel.
A place where joy and sadness can exist together.
A place where memories are treasured, tears are welcomed, and hope is gently nurtured.
This is that place.
So, wherever you are on your journey, I hope you know you’re not walking it alone.
May you find comfort in the memories that make you smile.
Strength in the love that never fades.
And peace in knowing that those we carry in our hearts are never truly gone.
Love has a remarkable way of staying with us.
Always.
With love,
Lexi 💜
“Grief is not a measure of weakness. It is the echo of love that continues long after goodbye. Be gentle with yourself. Healing doesn’t mean forgetting—it means learning to carry love in a different way.”
