The story behind the Violet Moon logo and what it means to me.
There are some symbols that quietly find their way into your life and never really leave.
No matter how many times you see them, they seem to call you back.
For me, that symbol has always been the Triple Moon.
You may have seen it on jewellery, artwork, books or within spiritual spaces. It is one of the most recognised symbols in modern spirituality and is traditionally associated with the Maiden, the Mother and the Crone. It has also long been connected with Hekate, the ancient Greek goddess of the moon, crossroads, wisdom and transformation.
For many, it represents the cycles of life and the changing phases we all experience.
Whether you see it as a spiritual symbol, a connection to ancient traditions or simply a beautiful piece of artwork, its meaning is deeply personal.
And that’s exactly what it has become for me.
🌒 The Maiden
The Maiden reminds us that there is always room for a new beginning.
She represents curiosity, hope and the courage to take that very first step into something unknown.
I love the reminder that we are never too old to begin again.
Every new dream, every lesson learned and every fresh opportunity carries a little of the Maiden’s spirit.
🌕 The Mother
The Mother represents love, compassion and creation.
Although she is often associated with motherhood, I believe her meaning reaches much further than that.
She reminds us to nurture the people we love, the dreams we hold close and, perhaps most importantly, ourselves.
There is quiet strength in kindness.
There is beauty in caring.
🌘 The Crone
The Crone is the keeper of wisdom.
She reminds us that experience is one of life’s greatest teachers.
She encourages us to trust our intuition, honour the lessons we’ve learned and gently release what no longer belongs in our lives.
To me, she represents the understanding that every ending creates space for something new.
The Whole Cycle
One of the things I love most about the Triple Moon is that we are never just one phase.
Life isn’t divided neatly into beginnings, nurturing and wisdom.
We experience them all.
Sometimes we’re bravely starting over.
Sometimes we’re caring for others.
Sometimes we’re drawing on the quiet wisdom that only comes from living.
Just like the moon above us, we are always changing.
And every phase has its own beauty.
🌳 The Story Behind the Violet Moon Logo
When I created Violet Moon, I knew I wanted a logo that meant something.
Not simply something that looked beautiful, but something that told my story.
At the heart of the logo is the Tree of Life.
For me, it represents growth, strength, connection and the roots that keep us grounded throughout every season of life. Like a tree, we continue to grow while remaining connected to those who came before us.
Surrounding the Tree of Life is the Triple Moon.
While I honour its traditional symbolism, over time it has become something even more personal.
The left crescent moon is my beautiful grandmother, Violet.
She inspired the name Violet Moon, but more than that, she inspired the person I continue to strive to be. Her kindness, gentle nature and unwavering love remain with me every single day.
The full moon in the centre represents me.
Within that moon, I also hold the people who are my whole world—my husband, Brett, and our two boys. They are the heart of my life, and every decision I make is made with love for them.
The right crescent moon represents my grandfather, Jim.
His quiet wisdom, steady presence and unconditional love shaped my life in ways I still discover today.
When I look at my logo, I don’t simply see a spiritual symbol.
I see my grandmother embracing me on one side.
I see my grandfather embracing me on the other.
And in the middle, I see the family we’ve built together.
The Tree of Life quietly holds us all, reminding me that love doesn’t end. It continues to grow through every generation, putting down new roots while honouring those that came before.
That is what the Violet Moon logo means to me.
It isn’t just the face of my business.
It is my family.
It is my story.
It is love, remembered.
🌙 A Gentle Reflection
Perhaps that’s why the Triple Moon continues to call me back.
Not because I believe everyone has to see it the way I do.
But because it reminds me that symbols become powerful through the meaning we give them.
For me, the Triple Moon is a reminder of love that spans generations.
Of new beginnings.
Of resilience.
Of wisdom gained through experience.
Of family.
Of remembering where I came from while continuing to grow into who I’m becoming.
Like the moon, we all move through seasons.
Like the Tree of Life, we continue to grow.
And perhaps the greatest gift is knowing that those we love continue to shape us, long after they’ve become part of our memories.
Every time I look at the Violet Moon logo, I’m reminded that I never walk this journey alone.
For that, I will always be grateful.
With love,

💜Lexi xx
